“ This is my favorite bbq place in NY. I moved away from LIC several years ago, but frequently cross the east river just to eat here. Burnt ends, ribs, and sausage are amazing here. The cornbread is next level. Be careful eating outside on nice days, there are wasps that look like bees buzzing around (not the restaurant's fault). ”
“ Decided I was in the mood for some ribs. Searched around and came upon Jb's in Astoria. Determined it was a good choice. Order half rack of ribs, baked beans and Cole Slaw. First sittings: lots of tables around and a back room with lots more seating. Comfortable atmosphere with music playing in the background and not too loud. Perfect for a date. The service from order taking to busing on target. Friendly staff making you very welcome. Especially the young lady busing tables very helpful if you needed something. Honorable mention: unisex bathrooms very clean. Onto the main event. Ribs fall off the bone top shelf. Spicy sweet sauce. Perfect. Beans were good with bits of brisket filling. The coleslaw not so much. Supposed to be vinegar, non mayonnaise version. Not so good. Very little taste other than raw cabbage taste. Next time I'll make and cheese it as the second side. Overall worth the trip. I will go back. ”
“ Very good bbq spot in LIC. The inside is all decked out in Chiefs football team gear so it's a perfect place if you're a chiefs fan! Friendly and efficient staff. The meat is good and cooked just right. My favorite sauce is the ghost pepper bbq sauce. It's not too spicy but gives it a nice kick. Very casual place- you place your order and pay before getting your food. This is a self serve place. Unlimited self serve fountain drinks. I would say they're a bit on the pricier side. ”
